BOATING INSTRUCTOR

Immediate openings to TEACH NOVICE AND EXPERIENCED BOATERS joining the YachtLease program to operate the yacht they will be leasing. Demonstrable, superior pleasure boat (30' to 60') handling skill, navigation and boat systems knowledge are required, and, just as important, is the ability to teach these skills to others, using our proven methods.

The YachtLease program prides itself on the quality of instruction to members before they venture onto their leased boats, and consists of over 26 hours of classroom and sea phase training. If you are the right person, your teaching ability and experience flow seamlessly from classroom to onboard instruction. Classroom instruction is in the evenings, onboard instruction is both weekdays and weekends, so you must be flexible. The position can be as an independent contractor if you are legally set up as such, or as an hourly, part-time employee.

We also offer private instruction in power and sail to our customers, as well as skippered day charters (license required).

We are also looking for a fully qualified person to manage our training program, from teaching to updating or creating teaching materials and exams; and following up with our members during their term to ensure they are “doing it right” and keeping up the skills we taught them.
